A closer look, when you want it.
Your CIO can prepare changes for your review.

A question about one holding can turn into a decision about the rest of your portfolio. We’ve given Archimedes more of the context it needs to help you work through that conversation.

Archimedes can now bring more of your Appius account into that conversation, including your holdings, available balance, orders, and the goals in your Plan. It can look at earlier ideas and your Instruct settings, too. That gives you more room to work through a decision without having to explain the account from scratch.

From a question to an action you can inspect

When you’re ready to make a supported change, Archimedes can prepare it in the conversation. That includes supported trades, order changes or cancellations, and material changes to instructions.

Before you approve, a review screen shows the exact action and the account it applies to, including whether it is paper or live. You can decline or close the screen. Saying yes in chat does not approve the action.

A little more breathing room on iPhone

The latest iOS beta also gives your CIO home a more compact layout. Your brief starts collapsed and expands when you want the detail. Activity rows are simpler, and tap targets are larger.

You can start by asking about a holding or a previous idea, then follow the conversation wherever you need more explanation.

Know when an investment deserves another look.

When you’re considering an investment, the timeframe is part of the question. A reason to buy today may depend on something that takes weeks or months to develop.

We’re working on a more detailed view of that timing. An idea can carry an approximate holding interval, such as two to six weeks, with an explanation of why that interval makes sense and a checkpoint for the next review.

Keep the timeframe with the investment case

The investment team already has support for carrying an expected holding horizon through its reviews. Validation can revise it, and later specialists can consider it alongside your Plan and portfolio. When the position is reviewed again, the original horizon provides context for how long you’ve held it.

The view we’re developing makes the distinctions easier to follow: how long the idea may need, when it deserves another review, and when the recommendation itself expires. If timing information is missing, it stays unspecified.

Keep the conversation going as you look around.

Sometimes the next thing you need is on another screen. You might want to inspect a holding while you talk about it, or look at the research behind an idea.

Archimedes can guide you to the relevant Appius screen while its answer continues in a floating reply. You can look closer without losing the explanation that brought you there.

Come back to the discussion

Your earlier conversations are saved, so you can return to them and ask Archimedes to recall relevant context. If a connection drops while an answer is being prepared, the saved conversation gives you a way to recover it when you return.

This beta also brings Deep Dive and scheduled research findings into the native app. Portfolio exits and cancelled orders have clearer presentation, alongside improvements to navigation and the investment division screens.

Keep the reason you bought in view.

You bought a holding for a reason. As the business changes and new information arrives, you need a way to check whether that reason still holds.

Appius position reviews bring the original investment thesis together with current information, including fundamentals and relevant news. A review can propose holding, adding, trimming, taking profit, or exiting. Proposed exits have their own recommendation cards tied to the holding, so you can inspect the decision in context.

Give your team the context you have

You can leave a brief on a position and pin a holding for priority review within your account’s allowance. Supported response settings let you tell the desk whether an issue should prompt a proposed action, a review, or a flag. The position’s review record shows which guidance the desk applied.

Portfolio monitoring also brings supported Plan exceptions into the review, including concentration, allocation limits, restricted holdings, and cash floors. An alert draws attention to an issue; it does not take action on its own.

A more dependable review

In September, we improved how the Portfolio Manager handles interrupted or incomplete reviews. It can retain completed work when retrying the same review, and it stops short of proposing where to put your money if the review is incomplete.

Get your first review moving after you connect.

Connecting an account gives Appius the holdings and account context it needs for a personal review. We’ve made that connection a starting point for the team’s work.

A new broker link can now trigger your first investment-team review without waiting for the next scheduled run. The review uses your account context and approved Plan, so the team can consider what you already own alongside your goals.

What to look for when you connect

Check the capability label on your broker connection. A read-only connection can provide holdings and account information, while a trade-ready connection may support in-app orders.

The first review still depends on your account being ready and the necessary data being available. You can review your Plan and connection permissions as you get set up.

Go deeper on an investment you’re curious about.

You don’t always begin with a decision to buy. Sometimes there’s a company you want to understand better, or an area you’d like to keep following.

With Research Stack, you can request a Deep Dive and read the resulting findings. Scheduled scans give your team a way to return to an area of interest, and standing guidance helps shape what later research pays attention to within your available coverage.

Give the question somewhere to go

Start with the business or investment question you want to investigate. The findings give you material to examine before deciding whether an idea deserves more attention.

A finding can also fall outside your current Plan. It remains information for you to consider, so you can explore a question without treating the result as an instruction to trade.

Get a fuller picture of your investment income.

A yield tells you one part of an income investment’s story. You may also want to know how consistently it has paid, what supports the dividend, and when payments could arrive.

The Dividend experience brings payment history and dividend-quality information together with estimated income. You can look at the payment record and use the calendar to see how expected income may fall across the year.

Bring your income preferences into the review

Set income preferences for the account assigned to your Dividend division, including your reinvestment preference. The account context helps you examine an income idea alongside the holdings it would sit with.

The updated account view also distinguishes staged activity and order status from completed execution. That makes it easier to check where a proposed action stands.

Also for advisory firms

More of the client work, ready for your review.

A client message can change the next conversation you need to have. It may contain a new goal, a question about a holding, or something that needs a little more discussion before you act.

In our advisor demo, you can bring that message into the household review. Appius proposes updates to the client’s context and keeps the original wording beside them. You can see what would change before accepting anything; a tentative request stays open for discussion.

Work through the decision as a whole

Several findings can belong to the same household decision. The demo brings them together so you can compare a proposed course of action with alternatives, review estimated tax effects, and check the proposal against firm policy. A separate Position Manager review gives you another view of the holdings involved.

You can also review imported holdings before adding them and see which households a proposed policy change would affect.

Have the next pieces ready

After you approve a demo decision, Appius prepares a trade-list file, a draft client letter, and a file memo. Dated follow-up tasks stay with the decision, so the work needed after the review has a place to live.

We’re building toward a workflow where you can spend more of the client conversation on the decision itself, with the supporting work already there to inspect.
